Pale raspberry red with magenta tinge. A gentle aroma of cherry yoghurt seems to reflect post-fermentation musing, but the palate comes in with quite a bite, as redcurrant fruit and stem mirror the contribution of a lively acidity and young tannins. Calling it a cheeky little number would only describe the youthful exuberance of the Kalkschuppen, but not do justice to the inherent potential for further refinement.
