Pale raspberry with pink rim. Sachsen’s degree of latitude can be a serious challenge for Spätburgunder, but in 2011 the Zadeler Schoss mastered it well with seductive red fruit aromas, ably supported by a well-measured use of oak. Quite spirity and fairly soft this is a fairly flattering rendition of Pinot Noir which does not require too much patience.
