Red

Medium to deep loganberry ruby with pink rim. The Bienenberg is sweet without being sweet, meaning ripeness of fruit as opposed to residual sugar. Cherries marinated in spices and Cognac is a pretty accurate description, but also a tempting one, as you may want to drink it in place of a dessert. The Bienenberg has a delightful juicy acidity that also works well with the moderate offering of tastefully toasted wood. Some of Germany’s top Spätburgunders can be hard work in their youth – this one isn’t.
