Notably dark ruby. Much less excessive and dramatic than the Kloster Eberbach 2003 on the nose. Not an exaggerated wine, just a little more intense than other vintages. Just very very slightly dry tannins on the finish. Lower acid. Stems freshness seems to have been a contribution here. Well done.
