This has the honeysuckle of the Kirchspiel but also more mandarin, and less honeyed. Herbal too but sweetly green not leafy green. A little bit more spice and grip, as if it had some skin contact (it does), giving it a more savoury, almost earthy quality. Firm, chewy and dry-textured with that piercing, crackling citrus finish. This wine is as much about texture as aroma. Utterly mouth-watering and incredibly long.
First time they have bottled a Kabinett from this single vineyard. RS 48 g/l. Cask sample.
