Medium depth, bright, plum hue with purple tinge. More open and pronounced than the Bienenberg. Gentle roasted and smoky aromas mingle with ripe cherry fruit, a little spice and a touch of chocolate. A fine expression of juicy red fruit on the palate is ably supported by subtle notes of chocolate and spice. Fresh but by no means raw flavours are given a foil of expertly toasted oak. Concentration, body and structure in perfect proportions all to be enjoyed in a long and complex finish.
