2023 Julian Haart Zellerweg am Schwarzen Herrgott Riesling GG Sometimes absolute greatness is easy to explain and understand, but that’s not always the case, as for example with this lightning strike from a clear blue sky. On the nose this is like being lowered into a smoke hole. The palate is extremely compact, yet somehow doesn’t break the upper limit of medium body. So deep that you feel like a geologist searching for the origin of the earth. So much wet stone character in the finish that you forget the world around you. Drinkable now, but best from 2026.
