(By Request) 2011 Keller Nieder Florsheimer Frauenberg Spatburgunder Grosses Gewachs Rheinhessen
"The 2011 Frauenberg Spätburgunder, like the Bürgel, came in around 12.7 percent alcohol this year, and as these younger vines are now starting to get some good age under them, the wine is getting more and more complex with each passing vintage. The 2011 Frauenberg offers up a very refined aromatic constellation of black cherries, woodsmoke, dark chocolate, a beautifully complex base of soil, a touch of cherry skin, gamebirds and a gentle base of new wood. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and velvety on the attack, with a lovely core, suave tannins and a long, tangy and perfectly balanced finish. Just a beautiful middleweight in the making! 2020-2040+."
