A gentle scent of herbs and a hint of honey complete an already sweet fragrance of ripe yellow fruit. A full flavour of sweet citrus fruit reflects both the longer hanging time and the higher acidity of 2010. As always the minerality of the Hermannshöhle exerts a firm grip on the palate, but is well supported by a subtle touch of bitter peel. The light lemon drop flavour has just a tad too much residual sugar for my liking, but was probably needed to provide the harmonious balance that was so difficult to achieve in this vintage.
