Kuhn's Grosse Gewächse tend to show a medicinal pungency early on, but, once the barrier put up by spontaneous yeasts is broken down, they are amply compensated by a wealth of fruit. Peaches, nectarines and mandarins really get the juices flowing with a rare generosity of mouthfilling flavour. The curves of this body could not be more ample and are emphasised by a satin-like texture. In a harmonious gesture even the acidity is taking care not to offend. Big can be beautiful.
