Names can be suggestive, and the nose of the Rosengarten certainly seems to include a highly scented flowery component. Add some almond and apple blossom and you get the idea of a very tempting, yet idiosyncratic, fragrance. A sweet floral notion also embraces the palate, but if you were beginning to harbour thoughts of Gewürztraminer, a fine composition of stone fruit and spice gets us back down to planet Riesling.
